Certain statements that you hear, seep within you and seem to strike a deep chord (it is tempting to say that it hits like a ton of bricks but the term ‘strikes a deep chord’, has a more positive ring to it :-).

Two statements I heard today are still doing their dance in my head – I always say that I have two left feet and I wobble when I try to dance. After I heard the statements I understood – that to dance, I need to first wobble. If it is ok to dance, it is ok to wobble 🙂

Statement 1 – Constancy thru’ change is balance

Different perspectives emerged in my mind when I introspected on both the statements

  • Constancy is the focus
  • Change is a tool
  • Whenever change happens, imbalance is but natural
  • When imbalanced, work on building constancy
  • To be balanced, you need to undergo a phase of being imbalanced
  • The balanced phase is only uptill the next change
  • Be prepared to be imbalanced, if you want change

Statement 2 – We are designed to move

  • Any move is a change
  • Change brings imbalance
  • Being in balance is reflexive
  • We can not stay with both our feet together on the ground all the time. To move forward, we need to lift one foot off the ground. That lifting of the feet is a change.
  • This change will cause an imbalance
  • Without that imbalance we cannot move forward

We are all born to move.. Movement is change.. Change is imbalance.. Imbalance co-exists with Balance.. Constancy thru’ change is balance..

If Balance is the Yin, imbalance is the Yang.. Celebrate the Yin and the Yang..
