Banpen Fugyo – a term in Ninjutsu that means – 10,000 changes, no surprises.
If you are suprised at yourself, you don’t know yourself (Aung San Suu Kyi, the Burmese politician had said something to the tune of this. Not able to locate the exact words she used).
Both these oft do the loops in my mind. As I connect these two, can’t but get poetic đŸ™‚
Life often springs changes, be not surprised,
People change, be not surprised,
You would change, be not surprised,
Life is all about changes.
There is many an emotion within you,
Every emotion finds its trigger from an experience,
Different reactions you see in yourself, as you experience these emotions,
These reactions spring from within you, because of what you hold near and far from your heart,
Life is all about reveleations, be not surprised.
Many facets of you that you may not aware of or may have minimal awareness of,
That does not mean that these facets don’t exist,
Experiences in life make you aware of these facets,
Life is all about bringing in self-awareness, be not surprised.
People are either relations or relationships to you,
Their behaviour may make you say “I am also like that” or “I am not like that”,
You first look at yourself and then seek to draw a parallel or comparison to that,
Life is all about opportunities to know yourself, be not surprised.
Be not surprised as every experience helps you become self-aware which leads to self-knowledge,
Be not surprised but be in wonderment; as wonderment will always keep your child-like curiosity alive,
Be not surprised, be in wonderment and be alive,
Life is all about growth and purpose!! Live it to the best you can!!
