A buttery blog indeed!!

It all started with butter,

that was got churning the cream.

As the churning of the cream happened,

so did the wheels in the mind.

If the butter is the outcome of the churning,

what of the sculpture we all become, due to the churning we do of ourselves?

If the cream is the raw material that is us,

the tools that are used to churn it are the people in our lives, the various experiences we experience and we ourselves.

Just as every tool that is used to churn butter, churns it differently,

every interaction with a person, every experience and every thought we have,

churns us differently.

Whether the cream is iced or melted,

fermenting it is a must,

and the fermentation temperature impacts the quality of butter.

Whether we blow hot or we blow cold,

we need to be at the sculpting temperature,

to give us the readiness to be sculpted.

Is that it?

Well well!!! there is more to this!!

Just like the time taken to churn the fermented cream, has many dependencies,

the time taken for each of us to be sculpted has many dependencies,

– the tools used to sculpt us – knives? chisels? or hammers?

– the environment we are in

– the perosn who is sculpting us, including ourselves

– most importantly, our own readiness

If the colour of butter depends on the quality of the cream,

the sculpture we become, depends on the sculpting we experience,

a nick with the knife, a knock with the chisel or a thud with the hammer

Each tool used carefully to ensure we are sculpted and not broken.

There is just that one difference between the churning of the cream and the sculpting of ourselves,

cream doesn’t churn itself but,

we decide how we sculpt ourselves.

It indeed is amazing to see the sculpture we become.

While the skeletal model of the sculpture is the same,

we change the shape and size depending on the situation,

choosing carefully the tools to be used, for sculpting ourselves.

– Using knives to just nick in the right places, without causing any bleeding and hurt

– Putting just the right pressure on the chisel, to remove the unwanted baggage

– Hammering with the appropriate thud, to shape ourselves with minimal hurt and pain

Sculpting ourselves is a risk and may give us pain but,

there is no pleasure without pain or gain.

It is indeed a joy to let the sculptor within us step out,

to see the sculpture we have carved of ourselves.

If we cannot enjoy the sculpture we have created of ourselves, who else will?
